Join Us for a Grand Celebration of Onam at Parliament
To the Respected Malayalee Association, its Leadership, and Members,
We are delighted to invite you to the 3rd National Onam Celebration at Parliament!
Date: Wednesday, September 18, 2024
Time: 5:30 p.m.
Venue: Sir John A. MacDonald Hall, 144 Wellington St, Ottawa
Entry: Free, but pre-registration is required due to security screening.
This year, the celebration is hosted by MP Michael Barrett to honour Onam’s spirit of unity and cultural vibrancy. The event will be graced by Premier Ranj Pillai of Yukon, along with Ministers, Members of Parliament, and other dignitaries.
With over 700 attendees from across Canada, the event will be a remarkable gathering of Canadians, and Malayalees from all walks of life in the Capital of Canada.
We are honored to have your association participate, showcasing our unity, strength, cultural vibrancy, and contributions to Canadian society. As in previous years, your association’s name and logo will be featured in the event catalogue.
Request for Video Submission:
We request all associations to provide a 1-minute video introducing your association and its activities, along with their Onam message. This video will be displayed at the event, on our social media platforms, and on our website.

For New Associations, Groups, and Clubs:
If you are a new club or association interested in joining but are not yet on our list, please submit your details as soon as possible. Include your organization’s logo, name, contact number, your representative’s name, and email address.

Registration is now closed for the public. To reserve a spot for your association representative, please email their name, organization name, email address, and phone number to [email protected].
Certificates of Participation:
MP Michael Barrett will issue certificates to all participating associations. Please provide your association’s contact details, including the postal address, to ensure certificates are sent to the correct address anywhere in Canada.
